It’s the day of letting go.
First of all, I must not hesitate to say, HAPPY NEW YEAR! It’s really been a great day, and a great start.
How was your 2009? For me, it was a mixture of good and bad. It has honestly been the most challenging year for me emotionally. I’ve been struggling with depression of some sort for the whole 2nd half of the year, although there were already some signs during the first half.
I think December saved me. You just can’t escape the happy Christmas spirit. All the lights, sounds, and everything. I didn’t want to be a scrooge. So… I guess I just let the spirit take me away and let me be the happy person I’m supposed to be.
In 2009, I’ve learned that it doesn’t take a New Year to change. Every day is a day to change. It all depends on you and the way you look toward life. You can’t just keep whining about how your day sucked. Look for the little things you have. Be happy with them. It’s gonna be tough. It’s tough for everyone, everything takes a struggle to get through. But no matter what, believe that there is a reason to what you go through; to be stronger, to be inspiration to the people around you and to help them with the best you have. It’s all worth it.
I guess I grew up.
The most important thing is, I’ve still got a lot to learn. I’m only 16. I’m still too young to be thinking too much and for staying sad. I gotta embrace the happiness that’s still alive in me.
As I’ve said before, I’m facing an important phase of my educational life. I’ll have to take my public exams this year. The first one is in April. It ain’t gonna be easy, and I’m gonna have to put in a lot of academic work and effort. This is why I have decided to quit Tumblr. Tumblr was… well, awesome. It provided me with daily inspiration. It cheered me up when I was having a bad day. But I really have to concentrate on my studies. I simply don’t have the time to waste on the internet everyday. I have typical Asian parents, you see. My grades is a big part of life for them. xD
It’s time to let go. Tumblr had been a wonderful experience for me. :) Goodbye, and I hope a wonder-full 2010 awaits you! I have not said this before, (and I’m ashamed of myself for this) thank you so much for following me and letting me fill your dashboards with my thoughts and inspirations. I sincerely love you all. <3
